 Still gotta add the lids and then paint them

 Finished painting the cabinit doors

 Changes the fridge from green to red. Looks good in person



Been A While! Bad News

Ok so alot has happened in the past 2 weeks...

Well we loaded up the camper in the truck on the 6th and decided to pack up and move back down to Texas that night! So we loaded up and hit the road around 7:30pm. Amandas parents knew we were coming and my brother knew we coming but my parents had no idea! We wanted to suprise them!

The Truck drove perfect, Very smooth and could hardly tell the camper was on the back.

Untill.....

About 750 miles into the trip I was going up a hill and the truck started running real rough and started losing power! I pulled over immediately and happened to be across from a ford dealership. All gauges were good but when i checked the oil there was hardly any! I had checked oil not long before and it was fine! So i bought a gallon of oil and put in and truck ran fine for about 100 miles then did same thing. Out of oil! So in all i went thru 10 quartz of oil in 200 miles! I made it home to tx somehow! Well i took it to the shop in hopes it was a head gasket or seal since the oil was coming out the exhaust! In the end i got the WORST news possible! Needs a new Motor! Ive had the truck a week and needs new motor! Mech said theres no way the milage on the odemetor is correct but theres no way to prove. He said motor is completely wore out!

Just another HUGE step for us to overcome so we can start our journey! In the end I will have a Rebuilt motor with a warrenty! Cant let it get me down! Just gotta take it and move on!

So ive been here a week so far and soon to be doing more work to the camper and lots of downsizing still to do! 2 storage units to empty out or at least consolidate way down. Garage sale this weekend! Gotta save up $3500 to fix truck!

Catching up!

Ok so the past few days I have been extremly busy and have not updated this so i am gonna throw it at you today!First off I got the Tie down system installed on my truck and it ended up being cheaper than we expected!!! Yay!

2nd I went ahead and added some wood to the floor to strengthened it. and to add tile to later.

3rd I made the platform I had taller since my truck cab sits higher than the previes owners did.

We started jacking the camper up to put in the truck and realized our first prob!!!! The jacks didnt go high enought to get it in the truck! So I added some wood to the bottoms of the jacks to at least get me in for now. Jacking this camper up in HIGH WINDS is not fun at all! We were very Nervice! In the future were buying electric jacks instead of old hydrolic jacks.

But we made it in after 2 days of trying! What a stress reliever!

Another Long Day

Spent the past 2 days Selling off everything we own pretty much. And the rest of it going through and consolidating it! Figuring out how many cloths to take and what all to have is alot more difficult than it sounds. Didnt realize how many dvds i had till we got out all the cases and realzed we had over 400! That would of taken up all the room in the camper so i had to throw away all my dvd cases :( and put them in 3 cd cases...

I did however get a appointment to get my Happy Jack Tie Down system installed on Tuesday! Once thats installed (way over priced) i can put the camper in the bed and we can load it up! That will be the real test to see what we can bring!

I have my Training class for my New Job Tomorrow (Monday). I cant wait! This is prob the ONLY job i have ever looked forward to!

Well my camper was put to the test today! The day started off with 87mph wind gust that was knocking over trees and powerlines. Then in the Afternoon the temp was around 80 degrees. By about 2pm the skys turned and temp dropped down to low 30's with very Heavy Sleet! After about 2 hrs of that it cleared up and warmed to high 40's. Then all of a sudden around 6pm it started snowing extremely hard with high winds in the 50s. Prob the wildest snow storm i have ever seen! And well it slowed down for a while and we thought it was finally done, Until about 10pm and i look out the window and the snow is back again! Its 11:30pm right now and we have about 2inchs so far! So if my camper survived this day I think Im in good shape!

Istalled a Under the Counter TV/DVD/Radio In the kitchen directly across from the Couch.

Selling Everything Begins!

Ok now is the time we start selling everything so we can get on the road! We started taking pictures and and posting everything on Craigslist! Kinda sad but its glad to see were getting closer! All ready Sold a few things!

Added new Light

Added this Battery powered LED Rail lighting incase i get stuck without power!

Ok Only 2 doors left to paint but the rest are done and mounted!!

Cabinit Door Painting...

Started Sanding, Primering, then painting the cabinet ddoors today. Most are done and several still need the handels put back on!

Will take better pictures later on.

Preparing to Buy a New Truck Tomorrow

Been waiting for this day since I bought my TC. We are trading in both of our cars (VW Bug & Dodge Dakota) in for a 2002 F250 4x4 to haul my TC and us around the Country. This will be our 2nd major step in completing our goal to get on the road.  We will be trading them in tomorrow!!! I will post pictures tomorrow!

Black Paint Done!

All right Black paint is finished! There are still Several touch ups around corners and around the floor and so on but its mainly done!

The Roof will be covered with a Bright fabric from the front to back.

Whats not painted below will be covered up by couch cushions.

The Floor will be redone with Bright carpet most likely!

Cabinet Doors wills Also Be Bright colored. The Doors, Carpet, ceiling will all match!

Kitchen Counter tops will eventually be covered as well...

Truck Shopping!

Ok so we been doing some shopping for trucks lately to better suite the camper and we think wee found the one! Its a 2002 Ford F250 4x4. It will haul the camper with no probs and tow a trailer with ease.. So after test driving and looking it over we decided to take my truck and Amandas Bug up there to see if it was possible to trade them in for a even trade with the truck. We were a little iffy cause the truck price was pretty high. But they told us after driving our cars and looking them over that we could make a even swap... Since my truck is in my dads name i have to wait for him to bring me the title and then were done. So hopefully the ford will still be there by the 28th... Keep your fingers crossed!

Change of Painting Plans :(

Ok so we started to paint the rest of the walls and cabnit doors and the paint we bought just didnt turn out the way we wanted. So we are letting it dry and will repaint the walls Black. So all the wall will be black and the doors will be brightly colored and the couch and curtains will be brightly colored. So there will still be plenty of color inside. We are still confident it will look good. Hopefully this weekend we can finish the black everywhere!

OK so we did coat 2 and 3 today of black. Everything that is going to be black is painted now! Might have a few lil touch ups to do tomorrow and that part is done and on to the next color!
